TAC’s National County Government Month Toolkit
National County Government Month is an important opportunity to help the public better understand the essential services county officials provide every day. Taking time in April to highlight this work helps build awareness, transparency and trust within your community.
Texas Counties Deliver
TAC encourages county officials to use the resources available through Texas Counties Deliver at texascountiesdeliver.org. The site offers information tailored specifically to county elected officials, along with ready-to-use media materials, educational content, graphics, and videos designed to help you clearly explain what counties do and how services are funded.
National County Government Month is also a time to think creatively about how to share your story. It can be as simple as a cell phone video of behind-the-scenes work, community interactions or other videos that help residents understand what counties do.
National County Government Month is your opportunity to show what you do and why it matters. TAC is here to help you tell that story.

Texas County Storytellers
In honor of National County Government Month, the Texas Association of Counties wants to help you tell the story of the great work happening in your county. We encourage you to share the stories and initiatives happening in your county with Texas County Storytellers at county.org/storytellers. Submitting your stories allows TAC the opportunity to amplify and feature your work on a broader scale, helping more Texans see the impact of county government across the state.
NACo Resources
National County Government Month is supported nationally by the National Association of Counties (NACo), which leads a nationwide effort each April to promote county work and share best practices.
